Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark Mette Frederiksen.
The Head of State praised the recent successful visit of Denmark's Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen to Ukraine and expressed gratitude to the Danish government for their diverse and timely assistance to our country, especially for the patronage Denmark has taken over Mykolaiv.
"I was recently in Mykolaiv, where you opened a regional office, and I can say that the patronage format is working very well. Such a model of long-term cooperation greatly helps us and sends the right signal to other countries," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The interlocutors underscored the importance of further long-term macroeconomic support for Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Denmark agreed on future joint steps in regional and global formats, discussed maintaining unity in Europe and implementing the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mette Frederiksen for organizing the first meeting of national security advisors to the leaders of states in Copenhagen and for Denmark's willingness to send its representative to the next meeting in this format in Malta.
