In Budapest, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The Head of State provided an update on the battlefield situation, specifically addressing the involvement of North Korean troops in Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The President emphasized the need for a stronger response from Western nations to North Korea’s new role in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Other main topics of the meeting included the implementation of decisions made at the NATO Summit in Washington, particularly strengthening air defense and investing in Ukrainian production of ammunition, drones, and long-range capabilities.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also highlighted Ukraine's need for authorization to use long-range weaponry against military targets on Russian territory.
