Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Justin Trudeau Discussed Support for the Victory Plan by Allies

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau.

The Head of State thanked Canada for its comprehensive assistance and principled support of the Victory Plan.

Ukraine expects that Canada will continue to actively advocate for its first point – receiving an invitation to NATO. Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Justin Trudeau to continue working with allies in future multilateral formats and direct negotiations.

The President also thanked Canada for its public support for authorizing the use of long-range weapons against military targets in Russia.

The leaders coordinated steps ahead of the G20 meeting. It is important that Ukraine's position on a just and lasting peace is expressed there.

They also discussed continued defense cooperation, in particular, agreed on the current needs of Ukrainian warriors.
