President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that the main purpose of his foreign visits, in particular to the Netherlands and Finland, is to ensure the prompt provision of the necessary weapons to the Ukrainian army to repel Russian aggression and liberate all Ukrainian lands. He said this during a meeting with media representatives following talks with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Сroo in The Hague.
"Our task today is to supply our military with weapons. This was my mission yesterday. This is my mission today as well. We planned these visits to strengthen our army. One of the aspects is security. The second aspect is NATO and European integration," the Head of State said.
According to him, Ukraine's foreign partners have received relevant requests.
"We are coming back with a lot. There are substantial packages from our partners, and this is the key thing," Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
Regarding the issue of providing Ukraine with F16 fighter jets, the President said that the discussion should begin with training of pilots.
"These training missions can only be provided to us by those countries that have the appropriate sites, that have F16s in service. But this is as complicated an issue as the issue of consolidation of countries regarding our future in the European Union and our future in NATO. We are working on it. I am confident that we will get a positive result, because we have no other choice," the Head of State emphasized.
Answering the question about the counteroffensive, the President noted that Ukraine believes in its victory and success of the counteroffensive. All countries and the entire society are working to strengthen the Armed Forces.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the price paid by the Ukrainian people for the liberation of their lands would be high, and therefore Ukraine expects concrete steps from its partners.
