After the quarantine exit, large programs will not be curtailed. This applies, in particular, to the Great Construction program. This was emphasized by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference in Kyiv.
"We have really increased by nine times the number of roads we will build this year. Despite the problems, the economic crisis, COVID-19, we will build roads. How many? About 4.5 thousand kilometers," the President said.
According to him, the task of the authorities is to build all national roads that will unite the country and become a "showcase" of the Ukrainian state. At the same time, there is a problem with the restoration of local roads.
"We come to the cities and see that the situation there is not so fast. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this yet. But there will be local elections, and I am sure that in many cities we will have influence and build all roads in the cities," the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also clarified that the construction of new kindergartens, schools and emergency rooms of hospitals will be continued in the framework of the Great Construction. In addition, the authorities are currently working to find $ 3 billion to upgrade all of Ukraine's bridges and build new ones.
