President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stresses that Ukraine needs geopolitical and investment support. The Head of State plans to invite President of the United States Donald Trump to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy told this in a video comment on his working visit to the United States, where he is attending the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
“They expect not just the President of Ukraine, the most important thing is that they speak about Ukraine, that nobody forgets about Ukraine. Everyone is interested in the new government and supports it. Everyone emphasizes that we have active boys and girls, and congratulates us, in particular, on the parliamentary victory,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, rapid reforms conducted by the new authorities and success in the return of sailors and other citizens detained by Russia also caught the attention of the world community.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stressed that the Ukrainian side was negotiating sanctions policy against Russia.
In addition, the Head of State noted that everyone was waiting for his meeting with President of the United States Donald Trump.
“The most important thing is that we all should understand that the United States supports Ukraine. They do not just help - because we are a different country now, we need to be powerful - that is why support at the geopolitical level and investment support are important,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He expressed hope that in the coming year or two there will be high-profile visits of American and European leaders to Ukraine.
"I expect us to have awesome relations with the United States. I expect us to invite Donald Trump to visit Ukraine. I would like the leaders of the countries to come and see how great Ukraine is. One should believe not the words, but the eyes,” he added.
The Head of State noted that foreign investors supported the implementation of major privatization in Ukraine, law enforcement reform and land reform.
The President summarized: “So I invite everyone. And everyone is willing, by the way, everyone is waiting for an invitation. As soon as I say "do you want to come to Ukraine?", everyone replies "with pleasure".
