Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Ukrainian citizenship to nine other foreigners who defended our state

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a Decree on awarding citizenship to individuals who participated in the protection of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.

According to the Decree №526/2019, nine people were admitted to the citizenship of Ukraine. Among them are Serhiy Alekseyevich, Stanislav Gibadulin, Serhiy Gnoyevyy, Nugzar Kandelaki, Andriy Kovnirenko, Nikita Makeyev, Denis Prokhorov and Oleksiy Syvokhin. They are the participants of military operations in Eastern Ukraine.

Also, Dmytro Fomin, who took part in the improvement of professional training and provision of the necessary equipment of the military doctors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conditions of of fighting, was accepted into Ukrainian citizenship.

It should be noted that the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Ukrainian citizenship  for the second time to foreigners who protect our country. Nobody did it during last 5 years.

The Head of State assured that he would continue to award Ukrainian citizenship to those who have merits to Ukraine.
