President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held the first meeting of the National Council of Reforms with the participation of the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada.
Opening the meeting, the Head of State assessed the quality and dynamics of implementation of changes in Ukraine. According to him, one can talk about the effectiveness of any reform only if it brings a result.
"Any reform is first and foremost a result. When you walk down the street and feel safe. When you come home and you have money in your pocket, i.e. you earn. That is why reforms are an opportunity for me,” the President said.
He added that reforms also require courage and swift action.
"People together with the authorities will build a country in which they want to live. That's what reforms are for me," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State stressed the need for judicial reform, as there is a great demand for justice and security in Ukraine. In addition, it is critical to create an effective healthcare system. The President also stressed the need for affordable loans for the population, reforming the tax system, accelerating privatization, noted the progress in the field of digitization and infrastructure, in particular in the implementation of the Great Construction project.
"Reforms are also about responsibility. Someone has to bear responsibility and ensure the results. Therefore, I think this is the main task for the National Council of Reforms. To do everything to make us all want to live in Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy summed up.
