Economic recovery, entrepreneurship, investment and public finances were discussed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the heads of relevant departments in the Office of the Head of State, Parliament and Government.
One of the main principles of development of the Ukrainian economy is the introduction of European standards of industrial and food production. In particular, it is about innovative industrial development, "industrial visa-free regime" with the European Union, stimulation and creation of new jobs, updating the Association Agreement with the EU. The President also called for accelerating the transition to market economy standards and stimulating business development.
"Ukraine has every precondition to become one of the world's largest hubs for startups and high-tech production. The state must provide support for young entrepreneurs and freedom of competition as the basis of Ukraine's market economy. Our entrepreneurs are the locomotive of the modern successful Ukrainian economy," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
The participants discussed the creation of favorable conditions for doing business, access of entrepreneurs to financial resources, raising Ukraine's position in the Global Innovation Index, increasing the level of competition, creation of a transparent and fair competitive environment with maximum use of information systems.
The parties also discussed ways to attract investment in Ukraine, create conditions for investor protection, implement public-private partnership mechanisms and concessions as effective ways to develop the economy.
"The main goal for us as a state is a wealthy Ukrainian. A successful Ukraine is a clear transparent economy with comfortable conditions for business, a stable banking system and modern information technologies," the President said.
Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko stressed that his department is working on the implementation of medium-term budget planning, which will help the state to more efficiently overcome financial and economic challenges and become a reliable foothold for every Ukrainian. Managers are actively working to raise Ukraine in the Doing Business rating.
