During a working trip to the Dnipropetrovsk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the completion of construction works on the H-11 Dnipro – Mykolaiv state highway from Kryvyi Rih to Krynychky, which is being reconstructed in the framework of the Large Construction program.
The total cost of road repairs is UAH 2.2 billion. The commissioning of the reconstructed sites is scheduled for the end of this month.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also got himself acquainted with the repair of the section of the M-04 Znamyanka – Luhansk – Izvaryne state highway. The total cost of the work is UAH 2.3 billion, and its completion is scheduled for June this year. A weigh-in-motion road condition and traffic monitoring system will be set up on this road.
As Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov told the President, the construction of the southern bypass of the city of Dnipro is planned to be completed by the Independence Day of Ukraine. The length of the road is 7.1 km, the construction cost is UAH 1.68 billion.
Also, construction of the northern bypass of Dnipro will begin this year.
In addition, the repair of the section of the H-31 Dnipro - Kobeliaky - Reshetylivka road is being completed in the region and the reconstruction of the sections of the M-30 Stryi - Izvaryne road is planned.
A total of 387 km of roads are planned to be repaired in the Dnipropetrovsk region this year as part of the Large Construction program.
The President inquired about the traffic congestion in the region. In response, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk RSA Valentyn Reznichenko noted that traffic on highways is quite dense.
"We are building awesome roads. We must continue, because people are waiting for new and high-quality roads," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
