Amendments to the state budget for the current year approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine today will allow repaying wage arrears to the employees of the state mine "Nadiya", resolve the issue of construction of a dormitory for Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and of a bridge in Skhidnytsia. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with media representatives within a working trip to the Lviv region.
"Today, our MPs voted for a very important bill - amendments to the budget. We fully repay wage arrears to the miners of the Nadiya mine - 50 million. Of course, there is not enough money, but we must always find money for salaries and jobs," the Head of State said.
Also, according to him, the approved changes to the state budget will make it possible to finance the construction of a dormitory for Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
"I know that there was a problematic issue - to build a dormitory on the territory of the university. We voted for amendments to the budget - 50 million hryvnias have already been allocated for all these works. Therefore, if the head of the regional state administration works very fast, we will start building," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
In addition, in the framework of the National Program "Great Construction" funding for the construction of local roads in the Lviv region has been increased by UAH 589 million.
"This is also very important - we see a record number of roads built in the Lviv region. 250 km of new roads are already under construction in the Lviv region. An important road to Skhidnytsia was built. The deputies also voted today - thank you for hearing me - to allocate additional 30 million hryvnias for the bridge to Skhidnytsia,” the President said.
