Ukraine continues its fight against corruption, which is why references to our country as purely corrupt are untrue and groundless, as stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"When I met with President of the United States Donald Trump, he noted that our country had been corrupt in previous years. And I told him that we fighted corruption every day. Please stop saying that Ukraine is a corrupt country. Because this is not true from now on,” the President emphasized answering questions at the Townhall on Ukraine panel within the 56th Munich Security Conference.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the authorities are trying to change the negative image of Ukraine, which was considered a corrupt country.
“Look at our team - there are different people. What have we stolen? All the money I have, I have earned with my talent. And now we have a new team, and none of us stole anything from the government, from taxpayers. We paid taxes,” he stressed.
