During a working trip to Zaporizhzhia region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolai Denkov.
The Head of State thanked Nikolai Denkov for a powerful speech in the European Parliament and the principled stance of his government on supporting Ukraine.
The President and the Prime Minister discussed further defense support. Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed about the current defense needs of Ukraine, in particular to enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force and artillery.
The leaders also discussed interaction between the two countries in the context of Ukraine's European integration. The Head of State emphasized the importance of the unity of the countries in supporting Ukraine's European integration and the multi-year €50 billion assistance.
The President said that in early 2024, Ukraine plans to hold the next meeting of national security and foreign policy advisors on the further implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, and invited a representative of Bulgaria to take part in this meeting.
