After their talks in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the United States Joseph Biden visited the Walk of the Brave on Constitution Square and took part in the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the American leader.
The Head of State reminded that the Alley represents the names of those who stood with our country and supported Ukrainian society in difficult times of the full-scale Russian invasion.
"Today, on the Walk of the Brave in Kyiv, we are unveiling a plaque dedicated to Mr. President Biden. The first call on the night of February 24 last year, our negotiations, the constant strong attention to our struggle and defense of Ukrainian democracy, as well as Mr. President Biden's personal contribution to strengthening the position of freedom in the world - this is something that will forever remain in history," he emphasized.
"Ukraine is grateful to you, Mr. President, Ukraine is grateful to the United States of America - to all Americans in all cities and communities who cherish freedom as much as we do," Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
