President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau had a phone conversation on combating the coronavirus pandemic and helping the population of both countries.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his sincere support for Justin Trudeau and his family, wishing the earliest possible recovery from coronavirus to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
The President informed the Canadian Prime Minister of the measures taken by Ukraine to protect against the spread of the virus. The parties noted willingness to coordinate efforts of the two countries and provide mutual support in the fight against the spread of the disease.
Justin Trudeau stressed that Canada was ready to provide Ukraine with the necessary medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.
He also promised Volodymyr Zelenskyy to assist in the return of Ukrainian citizens from Canada to Ukraine who expressed willingness to come back to their homeland.
