President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that after the end of his term in office, Ukrainian citizens will be proud of him. He does not intend to hide from people, as most politicians do at the end of their career.
"I will always remain a human being. It is very important for me to be able to walk the streets of not only Kyiv, but also Ukraine in peace after the presidency. Let alone my hope that people would be proud of me, this is the highest result,” the President said in an interview with Euronews.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that over a year of his work as President of Ukraine, he always tried to work so that his family would not be ashamed of him. And this is the main assessment of his work.
He said that as the Head of State, in addition to solving strategic problems, he faces daily challenges, which also need to be addressed. In addition, the country is at war.
"The war in the east does not stop, it is not like working days - 5 times a week. The war takes place every day. And there are challenges and questions every day. I have to find not just answers, but efficient steps. Because it depends on each of these steps how many people died, how many people were wounded, how many people you, the President of Ukraine, can personally save in any way: phone calls, trips to the frontline," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
