President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock, who is visiting Ukraine for the eighth time since the beginning of full-scale Russian aggression.
“We are glad to welcome you to Ukraine. Not for the first time during this war. We are very grateful for your diplomatic support. We feel and hear your voice,” the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the significant military and financial assistance to Ukraine from the German government.
“We are counting on increased defense support from Germany next year, which is critically important for our victory,” he emphasized.
The President provided a detailed overview of the frontline situation and the priority defense needs of Ukrainian warriors. The meeting focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the procurement of weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers.
They also discussed the Victory Plan, which Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented to the leaders of the partner nations, and its implementation.
Additionally, the parties exchanged views on implementing the Peace Formula and preparations for the second Peace Summit.
Other important topics discussed at the meeting included challenges ahead of winter, in particular strengthening air defense and ways to protect Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
