Military Assistance and Support for Ukraine: The President Met with Members of the U.S. House of Representatives

In Munich, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation of the U.S. House of Representatives led by Congressman Michael Turner. The meeting was attended by Congressmen Gerald Connolly, Mike Rogers, Brian Mast, Brett Guthrie, Steny Hoyer, Michael McCaul, Neal Dunn, Brian Fitzpatrick, Jason Crowe, Donald Norcross, Joe Wilson, Dan Crenshaw, Chrissy Houlahan, Seth Moulton, and Brendan Boyle.

The Head of State expressed his gratitude for the unwavering bipartisan support of the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression.

The President stressed that the price the allies pay for supporting Ukraine could be much higher if Russia attacks Europe. That is why it is so important now to provide maximum assistance to our state, continue military support and achieve a guaranteed and lasting peace based on the “peace through strength” approach.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the participants about the situation on the battlefield and the results of the defensive operation in the Kursk region. He also spoke about the threats posed by North Korea's involvement in real combat operations with the subsequent export of war to the Pacific region, an area of strategic security interest to the United States.

The key topics of the meeting were continued defense assistance to Ukraine, the formulation of legislative initiatives to support our state, and the provision of reliable security guarantees.

A separate discussion was held on the development of economic and high-tech defense partnership between Ukraine and the United States.
