The plenary session of the XXII Ukraine-EU Summit took place in Brussels with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the European Council Charles Michel and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
Representatives of the European Union praised the reforms in Ukraine, which are being implemented under the leadership of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team. In particular, they touched upon decentralization, reform of the Electoral Code and banking reform.
It was noted that the EU sees the "additional potential" of the Association Agreement with the European Union and believes that it is necessary to mobilize greater force of the associative part with Ukraine. It was also stressed that the EU should encourage Ukraine to further change.
Foreign policy challenges were discussed during the meeting.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy raised the issue of disinformation challenges facing the European Union and Ukraine today.
The participants of the meeting reached a positive vision on the timing of the establishment of the Common Aviation Area between Ukraine and the EU.
The parties also discussed the implementation of digitization projects in our country.
In addition, the implementation of judicial and law enforcement reform in Ukraine was discussed. The EU praised the efforts of our state in this direction.
