During a visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
The head of the Ukrainian state expressed his gratitude for Sweden's comprehensive support for our country in the struggle for its independence and territorial integrity.
"We highly appreciate Sweden's powerful assistance in all possible areas. This is a significant contribution to the struggle of Ukrainians for freedom and the European future," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine noted Sweden's support for Ukrainian citizens who were forced to seek temporary shelter in this country, escaping Russian aggression. Separately, the Ukrainian Head of State thanked their Royal Highnesses and the Royal Family of Sweden for their great attention to the needs of these people.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olena Zelenska also talked about the consequences of the aggressive war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and separately thanked the Swedish side for the humanitarian assistance provided to the people affected in Ukraine.
