Reconstruction of Ukraine and Support on the Path to NATO: Volodymyr Zelenskyy Met with U.S. Congressional Delegation

In Salt Lake City, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Congressmen from Utah and other U.S. states.

The Ukrainian leader thanked the U.S. Congress, both chambers and parties, for supporting Ukraine and providing our warriors with weapons to defend our people.

"We are grateful to have strong allies, and we count on your support for reconstruction. This is one of the key issues we want to discuss here in Utah," the President said.

He noted the assistance of all American states and the efforts of the meeting participants aimed at supporting our country.

"Our bilateral work will continue. This is one of the important issues. The second is that there are many defense companies in the United States. Of course, we are ready for cooperation and we have started it. In Washington, we met with representatives of defense companies, and many of them are from here (Utah - Ed.)," the Head of State noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the situation on the battlefield and Russian attacks on civilian objects, he also emphasized Ukraine's need for air defense.

The parties discussed the possibility of joint defense production, areas of further military assistance, prospects for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration, ensuring the support of the Congress on this path, and the results of the NATO Summit.

The Congressmen from Utah spoke of the state's historic ties to Ukraine. After all, many members of Utah's largest Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been involved in volunteer work in Ukraine since 1994.
