During a working trip to the Dnipropetrovsk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the reconstruction of Metallurg Stadium in Kryvyi Rih, which is taking place in the framework of the Large Construction program.
The reconstruction began in January 2021 and is to be completed in the fall of 2022.
The reconstruction of Spartak Stadium with an area of 1700 square meters is also underway, where the children's and youth sports school of FC Kryvbas is based.
The completion of the site is scheduled for November this year.
In addition, Kryvyi Rih plans to build a new pool with an area of 3 thousand square meters. The estimated cost of the project is UAH 250 million. The opening is scheduled for May 2023.

The President was also told about other projects being implemented in the city under the Large Construction program.
As part of the Large Construction, the city wants to reconstruct the existing high-speed tram line and build a new one. The total cost of this project is UAH 4.8 million. It is also planned to be completed in 2023.
The President stressed that new tram lines should be built in remote areas of the city, and provide modern rolling stock for them.
"It takes 2 hours for people to get to their destination by bus or minibus. Therefore, it is necessary to build tram lines in these places. This is essential," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
