President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Nova Kakhovka, the Kherson region, and took part in the opening of the Dnipro football field at the Energia Stadium, which was renovated as part of the Great Construction National Program.
During the opening, Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a symbolic first shot on a football ball and talked to young athletes who were training on the field.
“Guys, congratulations. Is it a normal stadium? I wish everyone victory," the President said, addressing the children.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported the initiative of the region's leadership to build the H2O Olympic Sports Center in the coming years designed for 500 people at a time. The new center may become one of the "magnets" of the region.
"Here we will make a training base for Olympic sports," Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Yurii Husiev said.
"We have many more projects for the development of sports complexes in the city in the framework of the Great Construction. Both I and the local residents are happy about such initiatives. This is a clear and effective development of our city," Mayor of Nova Kakhovka Volodymyr Kovalenko noted.
