During a working trip to the Ternopil region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the restoration of the international road of state importance M-19 Domanove - Kovel - Chernivtsi - Terebleche, which is being reconstructed in the framework of the National Program "Great Construction".
The total length of the highway together with the transport junctions within the Ternopil region is 212.3 km. Repairs are taking place on three sections of the road 145 km long. The total cost of the work is UAH 3.154 billion.
As Head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov reported to the President, this route is the main road object of the region.
"It runs through the whole region, we are restoring it along its entire length. The work on the section Vyshnivets - Horynka has been completed. The bypass road of Kremenets is completed by 98%, the section to Chortkiv has been completed in the lower layer. Active work to Zalishchyky, the southernmost city of the Ternopil region, is ahead. This road connects us with another city-island - Chernivtsi," he said.
Also among the facilities where the work will begin this year are the H-18 highway, which is the shortest road from Kyiv to Bukovel, and the M-12 highway. Next year it is planned to start a road project that will connect two international routes - M-12 and M-19 bypassing Ternopil.
In total, the Ternopil region has 1,423 km of roads of state importance.
Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that on all roads, except for the repair of the pavement, sidewalks are being arranged in settlements, lighting is being installed, etc.
Representatives of the regional state administration stressed that people are satisfied with the quality of roads on which repairs have already been completed.
When asked by the President about the condition of local roads, Ternopil RSA Head Volodymyr Trush reported that a significant part of the funds is currently blocked due to lawsuits. The Head of State called such a situation unacceptable and stressed that the issue needs to be resolved.
