The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with young scientists and representatives of the Junior Academy of Sciences.
The Head of State congratulated them on their professional holiday, thanked them for helping Ukraine to counter Russian aggression, and presented them with state awards.
“It is a privilege that we have you, that Ukraine has science and scientists. I want to wish you victories in your research and victory of Ukraine over the enemy. You make a great contribution with your daily work and the implementation of technological progress, because this war is a hybrid one. Each of your contributions, each of your discoveries is a step closer to the victorious end of the war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that some of the developments of young scientists have already been successfully used by our warriors on the battlefield. He also specifically mentioned that the state is interested in them and will support the scientists.
“The war is a great tragedy, but it has united scientists from different higher education institutions to support our military. There is nothing positive in the word “war”, but there is a powerful technological development: the production of drones, electronic warfare, and naval drones. At the same time, the enemy does not stand still, so when the war is over, we will also have to continue our development,” he said.
According to the Head of State, the most important areas for our country are technologies and robotic systems, demining, medical and psychological assistance, and rehabilitation of the veterans.
The President also examined the presentations of works by young scientists and winners of the International Festival of Engineering, Science and Technology I-FEST, which took place in Tunisia this March. The representatives of the Junior Academy of Sciences received 21 awards in eight categories.
