In Uzhhorod, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba began a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
Péter Szijjártó arrived in Ukraine on an official visit at the invitation of the Ukrainian side. The purpose of the visit is to normalize bilateral relations between the two countries by strengthening dialogue at the community level and addressing a number of topical issues.
The events in Uzhhorod were attended by Andriy Yermak, Dmytro Kuleba, Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration Viktor Mykyta and other representatives of the Ukrainian side.
Prior to the talks, the Head of the Presidential Office, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary honored the memory of those who died for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Andriy Yermak, Dmytro Kuleba and Péter Szijjártó placed icon lamps at the monument to the fallen defenders at the Kalvaria cemetery.
They also visited the graves of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Hungarian nationality perished in the war with the Russian aggressor, particularly the grave of Robert Madiar, a warrior of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, who gave his life for Ukraine in the battles in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
