Deputy Heads of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva and Roman Mashovets held a meeting with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations Tom Goffus.
On the instructions of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the Presidential Office, Ihor Zhovkva and Roman Mashovets discussed the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached at the Washington Summit of the Alliance this July.
The Deputy Heads of the Presidential Office highly commended the decision of NATO countries to allocate financial assistance to our country worth EUR 40 billion next year and stressed the need for its timely delivery, taking into account the situation on the battlefield.
The parties paid special attention to further concrete steps of the Alliance aimed at implementing recent initiatives to establish a new NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) mission and to launch the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC).
In addition, during the meeting, they discussed ways to improve interoperability and coordination of partners' actions, and to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, primarily for protecting the skies from Russian missile attacks.
