President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a traditional meeting on combating coronavirus.
Particular attention was paid to the situation in the Mykolaiv region, where no patients with COVID-19 have been recorded yet.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy was informed that a very small number of tests was carried out in the Mykolaiv region, besides there was a question as to the quality of means used for the tests.
“The whole region remains questionable. We do not know how many people out there may be ill with COVID-19, and therefore we cannot estimate the risk of the spread of the disease. It is necessary to deal with this issue immediately, as soon as possible,” the Head of State said.
Additionally, the parties paid attention to the financing of hospitals across the country due to the change in the system of funds allocation through the implementation of the second phase of the medical reform.
The President insisted on speeding up the provision of protection means for non-hub hospitals.
“We are literally fighting for the lives of doctors in this issue, so some processes on ensuring their protection must be parallel. We must urgently provide doctors all over the country with everything necessary,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
