An interagency meeting on addressing issues in prosthetics for Ukrainian warriors was chaired by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
The meeting included representatives from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Veterans Affairs, Ministry of Social Policy, and Ministry of Finance, along with members of parliament, representatives of NGOs, the veteran community, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, specialized prosthetics companies, and rehabilitation equipment manufacturers.
Key topics discussed included improving the treatment and rehabilitation pathways for combat veterans who have undergone amputations, the current status of access to assistive rehabilitation devices, and data sharing between medical information systems.
“Restoring mobility is a crucial step in helping our defenders adapt to civilian life. We are listening to their needs and requests and are committed to building a comprehensive rehabilitation system so that they receive high-quality, integrated, and timely care,” emphasized Iryna Vereshchuk.
