Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Brusylo held a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of countries – members of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF).
One of the key topics of discussion was strengthening cooperation and support for Ukraine in the context of Russia’s full-scale aggression.
Representatives of JEF member states emphasized that Ukraine’s security holds strategic importance for the stability of the entire European continent, and expressed strong support for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Ihor Brusylo thanked the partners for their commitment to European security and to achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in Ukraine.
“The support of JEF member states plays a crucial role in enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Our joint efforts today are focused not only on countering Russian aggression, but also on building a reliable European security system based on respect for international law and territorial integrity of states,” the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
The parties agreed to continue regular dialogue and coordination of actions to more effectively address shared security challenges in the European region.
The Joint Expeditionary Force is one of Europe’s key defense coalitions, established in 2015 on the initiative of the United Kingdom. Its members include the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. JEF member states can operate across the full spectrum of military activity – from defense operations to training, international military exercises, humanitarian assistance, and crisis response. It also contributes to the security and defense capabilities of all participating countries and serves as an additional tool for countering growing European and global threats.
