Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Vereshchuk chaired an interdepartmental meeting with representatives of the Government, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the State Service for Children, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as representatives of NGOs and the expert community.
The meeting was focused on developing a unified, comprehensive approach to protecting and supporting Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression.
Representatives of central executive authorities, together with NGOs, presented the concept of improving the national system.
“This is important because it should serve as a basis for further regulatory and practical work of the authorities and the public sector. In particular, the document contains recommendations for regulating the issue of compensation to Ukrainians for damage caused by Russian aggression,” Iryna Vereshchuk added.
The concept is expected to be approved and adopted by the end of this year.
