While on a working visit to Argentina, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed his interlocutor of the developments on the battlefield and thanked for all the military support provided by France. The two leaders discussed the details of the next defense package from the French Republic, which will significantly enhance Ukraine's firepower, and the current needs of our country in armaments.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the preparations to receive Ukrainian pilots for the second phase of the F-16 aircraft training program.
The President of Ukraine spoke about the peculiarities of the grain corridor's functioning, which, despite all Russia's efforts, has already transported 7.5 million tons of cargo.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of the European Council's support for the decision to start negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU. According to him, our country has fulfilled all the necessary recommendations of the European Commission.
"The decision of the European Council will have a great impact on the motivation of Ukrainian society and the army," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine thanked Emmanuel Macron for his personal efforts to ensure unity within the EU.
