On the Day of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with employees of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, congratulated them on the holiday, and presented them with state awards.
"Thank you for your work to protect Ukraine in a very sensitive sphere – it includes interstate communication, communication with our military, protected and especially important communication lines, and, of course, the protection of Ukraine in cyberspace – another space where Russian aggression is felt," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized that it is thanks to such professionals that Ukrainians have been relying on dependable communications for more than two years of full-scale war and have been gradually increasing the protection of the state and its special services from enemy cyberattacks.
"We must remember and help the families and close ones of our people who gave the most precious thing – their lives – while working for our country and defending Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The participants honored the memory of the employees of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection who were killed as a result of the Russian aggression with a minute of silence.
The Head of State presented the employees of the SSSCIP with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III class, the Orders of Princess Olga, III class, and the medals "For Military Service to Ukraine", "To the Defender of the Motherland" and "For impeccable service", III class.
