Pursuant to the instructions by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine together with international experts has formed a roadmap for tourism development, which will form the basis of the strategy for the development of tourism and resorts. This was reported by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko at a meeting chaired by the President.
"Certainly, there is already a large list of instructions of the President related to certain areas that fall within my competence. And it is extremely important for me that these instructions are executed flawlessly and in a timely manner," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Oleksandr Tkachenko talked in details about the strategic vision of tourism development in Ukraine.
"Strategic tasks (of the road map - ed.) are the introduction of a system of tourism statistics, a new bill on tourism, which has already been developed, improving the management system of the industry, digitization, creating a register of tourism entities," he said.
The Minister also mentioned the President's initiative "Tourist Magnets", which is actively developed by each region.
In particular, the "Great Construction" of the "magnets" themselves. We are talking about museums, theaters, castles. I think that this program may not only unite the country, but also serve the tourism industry," Oleksandr Tkachenko said.
The Minister reminded that the #TravelUkraine promotional campaign was presented on June 12. Together with the Office of the President, two advertising and information tours were held in the Odesa and Kherson regions. Together with regional state administrations, work on formation of tourist routes in regions is conducted. Work is also underway to create a multilingual portal Visit Ukraine.
For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that the government was actively working on visa liberalization for tourists from China and India. The President stressed that liberalization should be carried out as soon as possible.
