Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak emphasizes that our state is doing everything in order not to protract the war and liberate the temporarily occupied territories. He said this in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
Andriy Yermak agreed with the fact that the tactics of protracting the war can be now traced on the part of Russia.
"It is definitely not fine with us. The main thing that can be opposed to it today is the achievement of success at the front. The condition for such success is timely military assistance from our partners. Today it is great, and we are grateful for it. But the main thing is for it to always be timely and in the amount we need," he said.
The Head of the Office of the President assured that all necessary measures are currently being taken for Ukraine to achieve victory in resisting Russian aggression.
"This is a huge front of work, in particular at the diplomatic level in a 24/7 mode, since everything in the world is changing rapidly, and each of the countries has its own internal problems," noted Andriy Yermak.
He emphasized that the state leadership is constantly working with foreign partners to supply the necessary weapons, and this process also has certain nuances and requires transparency.
"For example, what we just started talking about recently has become a practice today - weekly briefings of our military in the President's Office, to which we invite representatives of international partner countries. Therefore, today our partners do not have any questions regarding the weapons we need and the terms of their delivery. Next, we plan to distribute military briefings to the Security Committee of the US Congress," said the Head of the President's Office.
Andriy Yermak noted that actually every week he and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny communicate with US President's National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan and United States Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.
He also recalled the establishment of a special commission of the Verkhovna Rada on monitoring and control of foreign aid, which included representatives of all parliamentary factions, on his initiative.
According to Andriy Yermak, the enemy cannot be given any reason to spread disinformation, as Russia's strategy has always been aimed at sowing mistrust and enmity, destroying the unity of countries on the international arena.
The Head of the President's Office noted that Ukraine would like to complete the active phase of this war before winter. This is a difficult and ambitious task, but it is vitally necessary.
"The Russian army continues to attack the objects of our infrastructure. This is one of their goals, they don't even conceal it. So this is one of the reasons why we want to take maximum measures to end the active part of the war by the end of autumn," he explained.
According to Andriy Yermak, the longer the Russian troops stay in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and try to gain a foothold there, the more difficult it will be to de-occupy these territories.
"We are doing everything to achieve the goal of de-occupation. And, accordingly, we explain it to our partners. They share our position," the Head of the President's Office summarized.
