Ukrainian TV channels should increase the amount of quality content that will help create a positive image of Ukraine in the world. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Culture, Media, Tourism" in Kyiv.
The Head of State noted that today Ukrainian media groups do not pay enough attention to broadcasting quality content for foreign viewers.
"I met with the leaders of Ukrainian television groups. We agreed to spread Ukrainian information about Ukraine. The first steps have already been made. But I think they are too weak," the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian television, in particular Public Television, should produce content for the mass audience, but there is very little such content.
"We need content, especially on state-funded channels that have significant coverage. The whole of Ukraine should see this content," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President reminded that he had set a task for Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko to advertise Ukraine. In particular, it is necessary to involve foreign TV channels for that.
"We must spend targeted budget money for direct advertising of Ukraine, tourism and information," the President stressed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine, together with partners from the United States and Great Britain, is implementing a project to install television towers on the delimitation line in Donbas, which will broadcast the signal of Ukrainian TV channels, inter alia, for the occupied territories.
