Ukraine must prepare for the next NATO Summit, in particular, by winning the war with Russia, which will open the possibility of our country's membership in the Alliance. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media following his visit to Lithuania and participation in the NATO Summit.
"We believe in victory. We believe that there will be a next, very important step for Ukraine at the next NATO Summit. It is symbolic - after all, it will be the 75th anniversary of the Alliance, in Washington. We have to work hard and prepare for this Summit," the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the main goal for Ukraine is to win the war with Russia, which will open the possibility of joining the Alliance.
"NATO membership will definitely come with victory. And it is clear to everyone: we have absolute unity that Ukraine will be a member of the European Union. This is absolutely fair. Ukraine has been fighting for such a future, a near future - to be an equal member of the European Union, a security alliance and an independent state," the President noted.
