Ukraine will always be grateful and always honor its Heroes – President at the presentation of housing certificates to the Heroes of Ukraine and the families of the fallen warriors

In furtherance of the initiative to provide housing for servicemen – Heroes of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented apartment certificates to the Heroes of Ukraine and the families of the fallen warriors who were posthumously conferred this title.

Addressing the audience in the Award Hall of the Mariyinsky Palace, the Head of State noted that today different types and branches of Ukrainian troops, different combat stories are represented here, but Ukraine will always have equal respect for all Ukrainian warriors and every heroic unit of the Defense and Security Forces.

"The true memory of Heroes is always based on two elements: the feeling of gratitude and unwavering respect for everything that has been done for the sake of our country and our people. Ukraine will never lose this feeling, will always be grateful and will always honor its Heroes. Each and every one who stood up for the country. Everyone who became an exemplary warrior. Everyone whose personal choice of courage and heroic deeds helped Ukraine withstand the path of our independence," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He thanked everyone who fights for the country and every family of Ukrainian heroes for the fact that Ukraine has such warriors.

"May all generations of the Ukrainian people remember those who defended Ukraine. And may the memory of all our Heroes who gave their lives for the sake of Ukraine be blessed," the President noted.

The attendees observed a moment of silence in memory of the warriors who died defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy handed over 30 apartment certificates to the servicemen of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the family members of the fallen Heroes.

In particular, the following Heroes of Ukraine from the Armed Forces received certificates from the President: Colonel Yuriy Andriyenko, Senior Lieutenant Roman Hryshak, Lieutenant Colonel Roman Darmohrai, Colonel Yevheniy Kurash, Major Denys Makarovskyi, Colonel Oleksiy Maistrenko, Major Yuriy Mykhailiuk, Colonel Oleksandr Mostovyi, Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Poberezhets, Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Sosnin, Junior Lieutenant Ihor Tymoshchuk, Major Oleh Olyva and others.

The President also presented apartment certificates to the families of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine from the Armed Forces: Senior Sergeant Andriy Ivashko, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Litun, Senior Sergeant Serhiy Vasich, Captain Dmytro Romanchenko, Lieutenant Mykola Makarevych, Sergeant Oleksandr Fedorchenko, Junior Sergeant Dmytro Shkurnov, Junior Sergeant Dmytro Kramar, Sergeant Andriy Orlov, Major Stepan Tarabalka, Senior Lieutenant Serhiy Suchkov, and Senior Lieutenant Volodymyr Stelmakh.

The families of the National Guard servicemen who were posthumously conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine also received certificates: Senior Soldier Serhiy Zherzhevskyi, Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Chuprin, and Senior Lieutenant Maksym Kahal.
