Ukraine holds negotiations with COVAX representatives on access to future coronavirus vaccine - President

Ukraine plans to receive more than 8 million doses of the future COVID-19 vaccine. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his vlog.

"The Ministry of Health spoke with COVAX representatives. This is an initiative for global access to coronavirus vaccines. A phased plan for the supply of the future vaccine to Ukraine was determined. The first stage envisages 1 million 200 thousand doses. In general, Ukraine plans to receive more than 8 million doses of the future vaccine," the President said.

According to him, priority in vaccination will be given to medical workers, servicemen, teachers, high-risk groups, including people over 60 years.

"We are also increasing the number of daily tests, including free tests through mobile teams. We are working to provide a sufficient number of beds and oxygen in each region, as well as to strengthen control over compliance with quarantine measures," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
