Ukraine definitely did not send missiles to territory of Poland, participation of Ukraine in work of investigative group should be ensured – President

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has emphasized that the participation of the Ukrainian side in the work of the joint investigative team to find out the circumstances of the missile hitting the territory of Poland near the border with our country during the massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine by Russia should be ensured. He said this during a meeting with media representatives on the occasion of the Day of Radio, Television and Communication Workers.

The head of state said that, according to the information of the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was not a missile attack from the Ukrainian side, and he does not doubt their data.

Zelenskyy is convinced that representatives of Ukraine should be allowed to the site of the missile strike on the Polish territory.

"It is fair and honest. We have the right to be in a joint investigative team. According to any norms, diplomacy, etc. Especially since we are all partners," the President said.

According to him, Ukraine would like to exchange information with partners, obtain facts, evidence and conduct an investigation, and only then it would be possible to draw conclusions.

"We are a fair state. And if it was the use of our anti-aircraft defense, and some wreckage was found on the territory of Poland, I want this evidence. If some debris killed these people, then we need to apologize. We are honest people. But at first – investigation, access, data that you have. I immediately said that I want our Air Force to report behind closed doors," the Head of State said.

The President also announced that one of the missile strikes coincided with this event – on Ukrainian territory.

"We have confirmation that the strike, which coincides in time with this case, happened in the sky, on our territory. Yes, we cannot rule out that some debris flew. But there is an investigation for this. But the main thing: the diameter is 20 meters, the depth is 5 meters. Can there be debris or not? I have my own opinion. I believe that this is a Russian missile, trusting the report of the military," Zelenskyy said.

In addition, he drew attention to the fact that the Armed Forces and our air defense today are a shield that defends Eastern Europe from a possible hit by Russian missiles, and it is necessary to talk about it.
