Ukraine and the United Kingdom Held the Fourth Round of Negotiations on the Agreement on Transitioning to a Stronger and Deeper Partnership

Building on the agreements reached between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Keir Starmer, Ukraine and the United Kingdom held the fourth round of negotiations on concluding a bilateral agreement on the transition to a stronger and deeper partnership.

The parties carefully analyzed amendments to the draft document and noted significant progress in agreeing on its key sections.

“We are grateful to the United Kingdom for its leadership in supporting Ukraine. Concluding a new agreement on a stronger and deeper partnership between our countries will be an important practical demonstration that the UK has been, is, and will continue to be a reliable friend and partner of Ukraine in all areas – from security to economics, from legal cooperation to culture and the arts,” said Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva, who led the Ukrainian team during the negotiations pursuant to instructions from Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office and head of the delegation.

The Ukrainian and British delegations agreed on the next steps for further work on the text of the agreement.
