Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva met with State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Marko Štucin.
During the meeting, they discussed support for Ukraine, the implementation of the Peace Formula, and the Victory Plan proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Ihor Zhovkva thanked Slovenia for its political, humanitarian and economic assistance and stressed the importance of working together to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The key topics of the conversation were joint efforts to ensure the unity of the European Union member states in support of Ukraine, as well as the extension of the sanctions policy against Russia.
“Slovenia actively supports Ukraine and is an important partner in promoting the Peace Formula. It is crucial that the EU remains united in its support for Ukraine, because this is a key factor for our victory,” Ihor Zhovkva noted.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office also highlighted Slovenia’s strong position in support of Ukraine's membership in the EU.
Ihor Zhovkva and Marko Štucin discussed the progress in negotiations on the conclusion of the bilateral screening within the framework of Cluster One – Fundamentals, and expectations for the opening of this cluster during the Polish EU Presidency.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office emphasized the importance of continuing the active dialogue between Ukraine and Slovenia, as well as sharing experiences in security and post-war reconstruction.
