President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.
The Head of State thanked the Norwegian Parliament for yesterday's decision to increase support for Ukraine in the coming year from USD 1.4 billion to USD 3.2 billion and highlighted its unanimous support by all parliamentary forces. Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it a true testament to the unwavering solidarity of the Norwegian people with Ukraine.
The President also emphasized that part of these funds would be used for domestic production of drones and other weapons.
The leaders also discussed Ukraine's priority needs. These include generators, other energy equipment, and additional air defense systems, given Russia's attacks on energy infrastructure.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked for the recent reception of the Ukrainian delegation led by Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and for assistance in establishing contacts between Ukrainian and Norwegian defense companies.
