Ukraine and Côte d'Ivoire Agreed to Start Deepening Trade and Economic Cooperation

In furtherance of the agreements between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Brusylo held an online meeting with Minister of Economy, Planning, and Development of Côte d'Ivoire Nialé Kaba.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oksana Osmachko, Director General of the Directorate for Foreign Policy and International Military and Technical Cooperation of the Presidential Office, Ruslan Kurochenko, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The key topic of discussion was the intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation in promising economic sectors: agriculture, trade, infrastructure projects, and vocational training of Ivorian students in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Côte d'Ivoire expressed its readiness for partnership, in particular by initiating a direct dialogue between relevant ministries.

Special attention was paid to the expansion of the contractual and legal framework for bilateral relations in the trade and economic sphere. This will enable beneficial cooperation in many areas.

In addition, Ihor Brusilo and Nialé Kaba agreed on practical steps to implement the agreements reached.
