Ukraine and Greece Discussed the Start of Bilateral Security Agreement Implementation

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva met with Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece Dimitris Skalkos and Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece to Ukraine Spyridon Lambridis.

The main topics of the meeting included the implementation of the Peace Formula and preparations for the second Peace Summit. Special attention was paid to Ukraine's recovery, in particular the reconstruction of facilities in Odesa and the region.

Ihor Zhovkva mentioned the bilateral security agreement signed by Ukrainian and Greek leaders last week in Brussels. During the meeting, the parties separately discussed the legal steps needed to start its implementation.

The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office also thanked Greece for all the assistance provided to Ukraine, including military and technical support, and for the European Parliament's decision to grant Ukraine a loan of EUR 35 billion. The loan will be repaid from frozen Russian assets.

Ihor Zhovkva described Ukraine's current needs and progress on the track of European integration.

The parties agreed on a schedule of contacts for the near future.
