Ukraine and Montenegro Held Another Round of Talks on Bilateral Security Agreement

Ukraine and Montenegro have held another round of negotiations on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement to implement the G7 Joint Declaration. Today, the Ukrainian negotiating team was led by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva.

"We are grateful for Montenegro’s unwavering support, including the participation of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić in the leaders' summit marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is an extremely significant and tragic date for Ukrainians, and we appreciate that your country was among those who once again reaffirmed their steadfast support for Ukraine," Ihor Zhovkva stated.

The parties discussed the key provisions of the agreement and agreed to continue negotiations to finalize the document as soon as possible.

To date, Ukraine has already signed 28 bilateral security agreements with individual countries and the European Union.
