Ukraine relies on a combined defense against guided aerial bombs

Air defense systems, domestic weaponry, and fighter jets are effective tools in combating Russia's guided aerial bombs. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized this in an interview with the Unified News telethon.

According to the Head of State, currently, defense forces only use anti-aircraft defense systems against Russian aircraft, which are guided aerial bomb carriers. Their effective use has forced the enemy to launch aerial bombs from a greater distance.

"At the distance at which we shot down their carriers, they realized that they shouldn't come so deep into our territory. So, they have now increased the distance. And we must increase the number of long-range anti-aircraft defense systems. I emphasize that Russia is afraid of this," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President of Ukraine said that the situation will be significantly improved with the arrival of F-16 fighter jets, which our Air Force will soon receive. However, their quantity will be insufficient for complete protection against guided aerial bombs. Therefore, Ukraine is also developing its weaponry to counter Russian aircraft.
