Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak discussed further U.S. support for Ukraine with an American delegation, which included, in particular, U.S. Congress members.
The meeting was attended by members of the House of Representatives Jim Costa, Jimmy Panetta, Salud Carbajal (Democratic Party), and Don Bacon (Republican Party), as well as Rob Portman, a Republican Senator from Ohio (2011-2023), Troy Downing, a Republican candidate for Congress in 2024, Herbert Conaway, a Democratic candidate for Congress in 2024, Douglas Lute, U.S. Ambassador to NATO (2013-2017), and Rye Barcott, co-founder and CEO of With Honor.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Viktor Mykyta, head of the "Servant of the People" faction in the Verkhovna Rada Davyd Arakhamia, and Members of Parliament Oleksandra Ustinova and Ivan Krulko.
Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude to the U.S. Congress, President Biden, and the American people for their unwavering support of Ukraine.
"We are experiencing a historic moment, especially after the Kursk operation. It demonstrates that we are capable not only of defending ourselves but also of winning this war," Andriy Yermak stated.
The Head of the Presidential Office reminded the attendees that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to present Ukraine’s victory plan to U.S. President Joseph Biden, Congress, and both U.S. presidential candidates in the near future.
"This plan is about creating the conditions where what’s in Putin’s mind no longer matters. And so that Russia is truly forced to come to the negotiating table and accept an end to this war on terms acceptable to Ukraine. Our terms are clear – everything is outlined in President Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula," he explained.
Andriy Yermak also emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine's regions and U.S. states.
