The Ukrainian delegation stressed the need for the full restoration of Ukrainian legislation in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, restoration of taxation and payment systems within the Ukrainian legal field. This was discussed at the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE) on Monday, June 15. Today, the results of the work of the socio-economic group were discussed and summed up.
The Ukrainian delegation stressed the need to conduct an inventory of public and private property in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, in particular enterprises of all forms of ownership, including branches of banking institutions.
The representatives of Ukraine also insisted on ensuring the functioning of mobile communications in these territories by Ukrainian mobile network operators, emphasizing that it is primarily about meeting humanitarian needs. Ukraine considers water supply to consumers of the Luhansk region extremely important.
The Ukrainian delegation stressed that the issue of ecology was important for Ukraine and reaffirmed its readiness to discuss that issue during the next consultations of the socio-economic group.
At the end of the work of the humanitarian group, the Ukrainian party again initiated an extraordinary meeting of this group. The OSCE representative supported Ukraine's proposal.
Also during the TCG meeting, the Ukrainian delegation reiterated that the TCG participants are three parties - Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE.
