Ukraine received confirmation of unwavering support from the United States until it gains victory over the aggressor. This was stated by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak during a joint briefing with U.S. President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan who was on a visit to Kyiv.
"We are happy to welcome a true friend of Ukraine, a true friend of mine I would say - Mr. Sullivan, with whom we have been constantly in contact, sometimes several times a day, for all these eight months, we exchanged information - we worked and continue to do so," Andriy Yermak said at the briefing.
According to him, very fruitful negotiations between the Ukrainian and American teams took place. Jake Sullivan also had a fruitful meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The United States is a very important partner of ours, which provides tremendous support. And today, once again, we received confirmation of unwavering support for Ukraine. Our friends and partners are with us until our victory," said the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Andriy Yermak noted that during the meeting, the issue of providing Ukraine with air defense equipment as soon as possible was discussed, which is of great importance for the defense of our state.
In addition, the parties paid considerable attention to the issue of the exchange of POWs and the involvement of international organizations in this process.
In the context of the continuation of the Grain Initiative, the Head of the President’s Office reminded that the day before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had taken the initiative to provide aid to countries suffering from an acute food crisis due to Russia's hostilities in Ukraine and obstruction of the exports of Ukrainian food products.
"I am very pleased with this meeting. I think this is another extremely powerful signal that we are on the right path and moving towards our victory," the Head of the President's Office emphasized.
